Anexos are informal, community-based drug abuse recovery houses that emerged in Mexico in the mid-1970s. Brought to the U.S. by Mexican migrants in the 1980s, anexos provide residential care to primarily male Latino immigrants who are unable or unwilling to access formal treatment. MORE

Throughout the year, PIRE IT has worked closely with our vendors to ensure that the necessary changes were made to provide a more stable communications environment. We have now fully migrated our email system, telephones and tape backup systems to the cloud. MORE

As part of the 41st Annual Conference of the Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research (MAPOR), Dr. Matthew Courser of PIRE’s Louisville Center was elected President of the Association. Dr. Courser previously served as Vice-President (2015-16) and as Conference Chair (2014-15).  MORE
