Proposal Abstract

This project links with R01 AA023085 to combine survey data from residents in four neighborhood conditions (high-low alcohol availability, high-low income) across 5 contiguous California communities with systematic social observations in these areas and with data from companion study R01AA023085 to assess the social mechanisms by which off-premise alcohol retail outlets may contribute to neighborhood alcohol problems.
