Welcome to the web repository of presentation slides and summary documents keyed to the presentations discussed at the 8th International Ignition Interlock Symposium at the Seattle Sheraton, August 26-27, 2007 in conjunction with ICADTS.
The materials for the 8th IIS meeting are organized according to the original agenda and order of presentations. However, the abstract numbers are not consecutive; those reflect the sequence of numbers in the ICADTS/TIAFT/IIS joint meeting abstract book. Abstracts are available at… http://www.icadts2007.org/print/abstract.pdf
The IIS conference host again this year was Paul Marques of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE). Questions can be directed to him at marques@pire.org. The PIRE Center for Alcohol Policy and Safety Research (ALPS) located in Calverton, Maryland is a leading contributor to the alcohol ignition interlock research literature. All ALPS-PIRE research funding comes through grants and contracts from public sources, but especially NHTSA of the USDOT and NIAAA of the NIH. PIRE has approximately 500 employees worldwide and is a leading not-for- profit, 501C3, organization devoted to performing research and development in the fields of public health and safety.
Presentations and papers from the prior 7th Annual IIS Meeting in 2006 can be found here.
FINALLY PLEASE NOTE: Anyone using materials found here in their own future presentations are asked to credit the original authors of these papers and to not alter the content or meaning of the materials used. There will continue to be additions to this web repository as new materials can be made available.
