Valerie has been a Registered Nurse since 1995. She graduated from Paducah Community College and has a background in Public/Community Health. She worked with multiple Health Department Programs supervising The HANDS Program, previously referred to as The Resource Mother's Program. This program educated young pregnant teenage mothers about healthy pregnancy and delivery, and awareness of HIV, AIDs and other STD's, and offered support to help decrease the numbers of second pregnancies within this population. Valerie worked in the capacity of Director of Nursing with the Long Term Care program for 7 years. She also has experience in the prison system as a Psychiatric Nurse supervisor. She began working in the research field in 2007, assisting with Imagery Studies. Valerie started working for BHRCS in March 2008 as the Clinical Research Coordinator, and is currently working with alcohol and methamphetamine addicted individuals.
