Liz joined BHRCS as the Executive Associate in May 2008. She previously worked for Lovelace in their accounts payable department as an Administrative Assistant and an Accounting Technician.
Liz has studied psychology, biology, math, accounting and business in college, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her MBA from the University of Phoenix. Before moving to New Mexico in 2006, Liz worked at Victor Valley Animal Protective League in Southern California for 20 years. She started as a Veterinarian Technician and ran the spay/neuter/vaccination clinics. As the Office/Assistant Manager she trained and supervised employees in various shelter operations that included the clinic operations, adoptions, redemptions, impoundments, customer service and euthanasia. At this company Liz was also responsible for payroll, taxes, accounts payable, receivables, inventory, newsletter, membership, fundraising and all financial reports and transactions.
