Proposal Abstract
Task #1: (Tenn Mobil) This project is an evaluation of well publicized safety belt and impaired driving enforcement programs in Tennessee. It involves comparing the relative effectiveness of programs focusing on just alcohol or belts, a combined program and one which treats the two behaviors simultaneously. The study incorporates seat belt observational surveys, roadside breath tests, telephone surveys, surveys in driver license offices and crash analyses in its design.
