Juvenile Accountability Initiatives: Diamonds of Opportunity Project

Proposal Abstract
There are five (5) major goals for this project:

Goal 1: The Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition will become significantly more effective in action planning and collaborative programming.

Goal 2: There will be a measurable increase in Interagency Collaboration for innovative JAIBO programming.

Goal 3: A minimum of Ten Innovative Model Practices/Collaborations will be established in concert with JCEC planning.

Goal 4: The documentation and evaluation of the Diamonds of Opportunities Project Performance will assist Prince
Georges County and other Maryland jurisdictions to replicate promising practices.

Goal 5: To hold juvenile offenders accountable for their crimes by providing a comprehensive full-service juvenile accountability program which will supervise 150 teens between the ages of 12-18 through the acceptance, repentance, forgiveness, and restitution process of criminal activity, as well as provide them with the values, life skills, literacy training, academic enhancement, and counseling that will contribute to their becoming positive productive citizens.
