Rebecca Ramirez is a Program Director with the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE). Rebecca directs the Division of Alcohol Law Enforcement within the Center for the Study of Law and Enforcement Policy at PIRE. She primarily coordinates the activities of the National Center for Alcohol Law Enforcement (NCALE), a project funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, US Department of Justice. The mission of NCALE is to provide municipal, county, and state law enforcement officers with training and technical assistance in the enforcement of alcohol beverage laws. She also oversees a contract sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to promote the role of alcohol law enforcement in reducing alcohol related problems through the evaluation of demonstration projects on promising alcohol law enforcement strategies.
Before coming to PIRE, Ms. Ramirez worked for the California Center for Childhood Injury Prevention (CCCIP) while she completed her Master in Public Health at San Diego State University.
