Dr. Gruber joined the CSUF faculty in August, 2000 with an interest in teaching and research in the area of adolescents and risk behavior. She is also the director of the CSUF Project on Adolescence and Media, an NICHD-funded research program conducted in collaboration with the Prevention Research Center in Berkeley. Dr. Gruber has published work on adolescent sexuality, risk of school failure, alcohol use, delinquency, and comparative risk behavior, and has presented more than a dozen papers at professional conferences and programs. Her departmental teaching in Child and Adolescent Studies currently includes Adolescence and Early Adulthood (CAS 330), and Senior Seminar on the At-Risk Adolescent (CAS 490T).
