The Community Trials Intervention to Reduce High-Risk Drinking was originally funded under grants from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention to the Prevention Research Center, a division of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (Dr. Harold D. Holder, P.I.). At the time the project was commonly known as the Community Trial Project. The project was evaluated under the supervision of Dr. Paul J. Gruenewald, component director of the project’s Access Component. The project received Model Program Status for the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. Responsibility for providing information on the project and technical assistance rests with Dr. Angela Gallegos-Castillo. She may be reached at (510) 501-7900 or gallegosangela1@gmail.com.
