| The evaluation of program effects
typically involves tracking program activities, effects on intermediary
or environmental variables, and project outcomes. Program activities
may be tracked though the use of a management information system.
Effects on intermediary or environmental variables may be tracked
through the use of apparent minor, intoxicated patron, and telephone
or in-school surveys. Outcomes may be tracked through the use
of archival data collected by police and sheriff departments,
hospitals, trauma centers, discharge indexes, and county and
state reporting agencies.
